Delete your mettl account

You can delete your mettl account, and everything in it, at any time. Deleting is immediate and cannot be undone.
Delete it in the app
- Open mettl and sign in.
- Tap the menu icon at the top left of the Thread screen.
- Tap Delete Account at the bottom of the menu.
- A sheet explains that this permanently deletes your account and every Thread, Commitment and Reflection on it. Tap Delete Account again to confirm, or Cancel to keep your account.
Your account is deleted from our live service straight away and you are returned to the start screen.
What is deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes your sign-in and everything linked to it:
- your email address;
- all of your Threads, including archived ones;
- all of your Commitments, outcomes and Reflections;
- your time zone history and your plan record.
If you want to keep your Reflections first, use Export Reflections in the same menu before you delete.
What is not deleted
- Purchases. If you bought mettl Complete, Apple or Google keeps its own record of the purchase. Deleting your mettl account does not cancel a subscription: cancel it in the App Store or Google Play subscription settings, or you may continue to be billed.
- Routine backups. Our hosting provider may keep routine backups for up to seven days. Your information drops out of them as they expire and is not used for anything else.
If you cannot use the app
If you can no longer open the app, email hello@mettl.me from the email address you signed in with, and ask for your account to be deleted. We will confirm by reply, and delete the account within 7 days.
